Had my oncologist meeting and the pesky cells have had their walking boots on, original lesion in liver has grown slightly and a new one also 1.7cm big not what I wanted to hear.
We have a new a plan he's putting me on tablets as he feels the 5fu on its own didn't work I came off folfori in Feb just been on maintenance for 5 months, he said if they don't contain it then there's other options.
My head is all over the place at the moment.
One positive picc line came out.
Hi HazG
You take all the time you need to Centre from this ! However despite it always being a blow hearing of development. Please don’t lose sight of what they also said . They still have a good plan in place and other options to pull this back in line .
Its a chronic condition that needs medical adjustments as it goes along the treatment pathway and you have a good team doing exactly that .
Given the size of the liver it still has plenty of healthy disease free tissue .
But it’s a bump on the road and you need to go through the process . I for one think you will strength and get back onto this .
Take care ,

Sorry to read this HazG , it knocks you for 6 when you get news like this. Take some time to digest and you will find your feet again in time.
My onc wasn't keen at all on just giving me just 5fu as she doesnt think its particularly effective on its own so 5 months on it with slight growth isn't too bad. I would also hold on to the fact that there are options. Hopefully the tablets will get it back in control and I'm sure you will be closely monitored. X
Joining this thread just to ask has anyone any tips on what cream to use on face. I’m having amunitherapy and although I was told I would have a face rash as a side effect no one mentioned it would be bleeding and the cream from the hospital not working.
Sorry I’m on the wrong thread forgive me.

Hi Faloola
Have you been given any antibiotics to take with your treatment. My mum is on continuous antibiotics for the rash . Some don’t give them and I know it’s a different immunotherapy but might be something to ask about . She also has a steroid cream that has to stay in the fridge in case it’s sever .
She has a moisturiser to use on top of that .
I have seen people getting a referral for a dermatologist to get on top of it .
I would definitely phone your team and get some help . Help us out there .
