Hi Folks
I’m hopefully having my last infusion of Oxaliplatin on Tuesday.
I felt unwell during the last one - about ten minutes b4 the end I began to sweat buckets and vomited . Any tips on how to prevent this please?
Thanks!
Hi. Were the nurses aware of this? It might worth reminding/telling them and then they can maybe give you the infusion over a longer length of time?
Hope the last one goes better and congrats on having made it to the end - hope you have something nice planned to celebrate?
Take care
Karen x
Good luck with last infusion. I was unwell during all 3 of mine. 1st one over 2 hours, had larynx spasm at end. Next infusion done over 4 hours. 20 minutes before end felt symptoms coming on so infusion stopped. 3 rd time over 6 hours and again 20 minutes before end felt symptoms syart again. Infusion stopped. Make sure the nurses know. There are things they can do. Make sure you let them know if you feel unwell. Good luck x
