My husband has had an APR Robotic Operation. He felt no pain afterwards or during his week in hospital. Since he has come home he has a sore tailbone. Has anyone else experienced this? The hospital have told him to take paracetamol.

Certainly people do report various pains . The one thing to look out for is infections post op so we always encourage a quick phone call to the team of surgeons . Sounds as though you have already done that .
If the paracetamols is insufficient you might also like to ask about better pain control . Again that’s advise is best done by the surgical team as you don’t want any issue to occur with constipation.
I think it is the metal staples that are causing the pain. He was not given a cushion. He was assessed when he was in hospital though. The staples are coming out at the end of next week. We did speak to the nurse yesterday. Paracetamol only for him.
Was that a Valley cushion Katz51 ? I have seen Kareno62 mention that . She was saying the same thing about the donut and wondered if it was contributing to the problem . Seems little guidance for people post op on these issues .
