How are you doing? Spuduknow

Hi Jools! Turns out my oncologist forgot to send the referral to the lung team so he did it on Tuesday and my case will be discussed at the next MDT meeting next Tuesday. According to the European guidelines on the management of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer resection of lung nodules should have been discussed at the first MDT meeting following diagnosis, before starting chemo; I asked the nurse why this wasn't done but she assured me that it was discussed and wasn't an option - I am a bit dubious though as it is not mentioned anywhere in my medical records... 

Between kids and work I have been busy so it keeps my mind off it! I hope you are well and enjoy another long weekend xx

I can’t believe your oncologist forgot to send your referral! I thought all departments have protocols in place so that this doesn’t happen. I can’t imagine how you must feel, aside from let down. Hing cancer is stressful enough, and having a secondary knocks your confidence in the system. I’m trying really hard not to go down that route, but they don’t make it easy do they? I hope you are ablto enjoy the long weekend. Having children it must be hard. I only have dogs and find that hard enough. Good luck next week. Let’s hope we both have something positive to post.
