After I completed the CT Scan last Friday, followed by the MRI Monday It is a wait now till the MDT meeting on Good Friday. So I will hear from specialist nurse as to treatment outcome best for me.
This week's wait is not a good time as different thoughts just keep rolling through my mind, some positive but many of them negative and dark. Has this been same for others? And if so how have you found best way to deal with this?
I know it is cancer but don't know how far it has got but if slow growing just pray it is not too far. Has anyone else have thoughts about more spiritual side of things to help in being stronger and more positive?
It is now two weeks and still waiting to go soon for my appointment with the Consultant Surgeon that performed the Colonoscopy. Thoughts fluctuate as the time draws near.
I’m in a similar situation. Will know tomorrow what they found. Colonoscopy showed treatable bowel cancer but when MDT met last week results weren’t as expected - could tell me no more over phone. I, like you, have had my mind whirring all over the place but read a post where someone told me not to worry until I know. Easier said than done - but life goes on as normal for the time being.
Hi Tufty53 and Rabbit 55
I hope you got some clarity about their findings and that you now have a date in diary to discuss your treatment plan options.
It can be an emotionally challenging time when waiting, so try to be as kind to yourself as you can be.
Hello new to the group, after four colonoscopy. and on feb 28 i got the news i have colon cancer i have two tumors one in my colon and the other one was in my rectum . still waiting for treatment . I got the port put in i was told today it will be next week Monday or Tuesday for treatment
Thanks Court - have been told I have a very unusual presentation. I have a 10cm tumour on my right and an 8cm one on the left. Taking things a step at a time and don’t need to know any more at this int. Am being referred to oncologist and urologist when chemotherapy will be put in place. I have no symptoms, feel well so am very determined. I know I’m in for a long haul - but not unfortunately
e long haul flight to see my brother in Australia
Best wishes
Hi poolmn4 and welcome to the board. That’s a lot of colonoscopies but hopefully your team now has a clear understanding of the situation and you have a treatment plan in place. Sounds like you will be having some chemo so if you let us know which one then we can let you have some tips if you like?
Hope all goes well and please keep us posted
Take care

Hi Tufty53
I think that’s very wise . My mum has the same approach . Dealing with the next step as it surfaces was all she ever needed to know .
Sounds as though poolmn4 also has two tumours . A big welcome to the forum poolmn4 .
My mum had chemo first and it was incredible to watch chemotherapy shrink the tumour .
Tufty53 A long haul flight to Australia would be much more desirable but that will need to be your long term goal to aim for .
take care ,
Court
