I’ve been wondering how you’re doing. Can you let someone know? I’m hoping that no news is good news.
Hi Jools63 & Ann
I am so sorry I haven't been in touch.
I have not been to well.
Had to cancel a trip out with my wife on Sunday after my stomach feeling like I'd been kick from the inside.
We were going out and I asked her to take me home, being violently sick on the way back.
I then spent 8.5 hours in bed, went to the doctor's who says that they found a diverticular at the colonoscopy and I am probably having a flair up.
I am now expecting to hear from my consultants secutary today or tomorrow as she says he goes in on these two days.
As I said to my GP I need to know what all the stomach pain is.
I'm broken and need fixing.
I remember at my last oncology meeting on 7th March it was documented that the bowel and bladder problems that I am having are most probably due to my radiotherapy.
If I don't hear from my consultants secutary in the next two days
(Because he should be in today or tomorrow)
I will call her again.
Thanks you to everyone who is concerned.
I didn't call my specialist nurse or my hot line because I am presuming that until the consultant reads my results then even they won't know.
Take care everyone
Spud

I’m so sorry you’ve been so sick again. I’m keeping everything crossed that your consultant finds the time to get in touch. My blood is boiling right now. I’m not a particularly religious person, but will definitely say a prayer for you. Update us when you can and feel up to it.
Good to hear from you and good luck Spuduknow.
I'd say don't hesitate to chase both consultant + CSN as it will keep you in forefront of their minds and near the top of their to do list.
I've found consultant's secretaries often very helpful, recently i even got resolution the same day, even when consultant wasn't working there that day!

I completely agree with you. I have struck up a friendship with my consultant’s secretary. It wasn’t deliberate. She is an amazing lady who really cares about my situation. I spoke with her today regarding my latest results, and she’s decided to prioritise my case and make it her mission to get me seen as soon as possible. I feel incredibly lucky that she cares so much.
