I had a colonoscopy 10 March ( 4 weeks agp )
I was given the report on the day and was told that the consultant would look at the tests taken.
I had eight biopsies removed from the colon and two small polyps.
I called the consultants secretary who confirmed that the results were back.
She explained he only comes in one day a week but had not looked at mine yet.
After telling her that I already have incurable prostate cancer had spread to the lymph nodes in my pelvis and the fact I was concerned, she said she would put a note on my report for him.
I am of course worried I case something is not right and it’s gone to a MDT,
Am I being silly and just wait a bit longer.
Any advise appreciated

Good Morning Spud
Am sorry to hear that you have prostate cancer and now have had colonoscopy and are still waiting for your results back.
I have not had experience of a colonoscopy for myself but have done so through close family.
It is good that you have managed to contact your consultants secretary and that they have come back. It is difficult when you are waiting and worrying and it is good that she has added a note to your report. If it has gone to an MDT could it possibly just mean that they are being careful due to your medical history.
I hope that your results come through quickly. I remember my own being delayed due to Easter weekend.
In the mean time if you feel it would be helpful to talk to someone, I have used the help line and they are really supportive.

For what it’s worth, I believe in being a nuisance! I phoned my consultant’s secretary to check if I was on the mdt list. I’m glad I did as I was on the next one which was only 2 working days from then. Unfortunately, my results weren't good news. The waiting is agony for us and never gets easier. Try not to assume the worst as the time you've waited isn't necessarily any indication of your results. Fingers crossed that you hear soon.

Thank you for reading my post, iI am definitely going to call them tomorrow and ask the question.
I have had abdominal pain today again mid to bottom left side to lower middle again.
Thank you for your encouragement it is always a relief when you know what you are saying makes sense to someone.
I hope you are ok and keeping on the better side of things.
Take care

I hope you’ve got some answers today. Thanks for your good wishes. MRI tomorrow, but won’t have any results for a week or so. My problem is that my treatment is spread across two hospitals. The travelling plus the waiting is painful. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I did make the call only to find that even though the secutary had put a note on my results, the consultant still hasn't read the.
The impression I am getting is that he only goes in once a week on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
I have had pain again today and am so annoyed.
The secutary was so nice and asked was I still having pain.
She assured me that when he has read them she will phone me and I will also receive a hard copy.
Watch this space lol
Take care of yourself, hopefully I'll be in touch soon
Kind regards
Spud

I’m absolutely disgusted at the way you are being treated. I feel guilty that I am receiving such good care by comparison. It really shouldn’t be a postcode lottery which it seems to be. Do these pele not think it’s enough that you’re dealing with incurable prostate cancer?! I hope and pray that someone steps up for you soon.

I can't thank you for chatting over the last week.
It does sound like his secutary understands.
I am thinking of calling the hot line at the Cancer hospital to see if they can help me.
My oncologist has already said in a letter that I understand that my bowel and bladder problems maybe a result of my Radiotherapy.
Like you said I need someone to step up.
Take care and thanks
