I was due to have my chemo treatment today, at home, but it’s now going to be delayed until Monday.. just worried it will affect the effectiveness of the treatment. Will a few days delay make any difference? Liz x
Hi LincsLass. No I don’t think so.Lots of people - myself included- miss a session due to things like low white cell count and have it a week later. Hope that helps but you could give the support desk a ring tomorrow if you want some reassurance?
Take care

Thanks Karen, I’m waiting for my oncologist to hopefully confirm I can wait til Monday. It’s been such a frustrating day.. having treatment at home was supposed to be less stressful! Plus I’d worked out when my precious week off was going to be after each cycle, which had now gone to pot. I know it doesn’t matter that much, but I like to organise things on that seven days!
Hi LincsLass,
Out of 12 cycle I've had to delay 2 cycles by a week due to low white blood cell count. It is frustrating, I also have a couple of days off after each infusion and it messes everything up workwise! I really don't think it will affect the effectiveness of the treatment though.
Take care x
