Back to hospital on the 5th and a date will be arranged for surgery, but I just want it out noooowwwww lol. Feel like I have a time bomb in my stomach! Every twitch and niggle and pain I think oops there we go it’s spreading now.
on the plus side I went back to work this week - luckily I am a medical secretary in mental health so am surrounded by mental health professionals, one of which used to work in cancer services, so it’s been a lovely week of positive conversations and support
Got an appointment on Thursday to chat about the op, and to pick up my pre-op drinks. Surgery booked in for next week. Even though I'm confident everyone on the surgery team knows what they're doingt doesn't stop the nerves kicking in. Fingers crossed
things go well for all of us
Hi there
I know how you feel.
I decided that I would do everything I could with my part. I ate as well as I could and did my pelvic floor
Then I just handed myself over to the experts to get that thing the bin
Ill be thinking of you. Keep us updated
Ann
Hi Tony and good to hear that you finally have a date. You might find this booklet useful?

Hi Atticus.
Just wanted to check in on you and to say I hope everything went ok for your op.
Wishing you a steady recovery

Hi, laying here in my hospital bed having had a successful surgery and resection. Just the recovery to get through now. Thank you for your thoughts.
The fear is worse than the procedure and the relief is insurmountable.
Thanks for your update Atticus.
Im really pleased that you’re the other side of the procedure
Best wishes with your recovery
I find power naps are my best way to gaining strength
After my recent op I am now just snoozing in the afternoon. It gives me the energy I need
Take care
Ann
Congrats Atticus .
Recovery can take a bit of time, keep being patient + kind to yourself and you will get there.

Day 4 and all cannulas are being removed later today. Test results are due next Friday so still a little way to go before the next stage is decided. I’m using that week to concentrate on recovery. Good luck to all waiting for operations . As has been said, be kind to yourselves. We got this!
Lovely attitude Atticus
I found it’s really all about that and doing what I was told. Though I did find that a challenge I always thought that I’d be running around in no time. That was a learning curve.
I’m in recovery myself, an unrelated op. This tie I know I have to be a patient patient
All the very best
Ann
