I'm booked in for another colonoscopy next week to remove two polyps. I'm also booked in for a pre-op assessment. They're looking at removing the cancer and, possibly, 5cm each side of it. Generally speaking does entail a stay in hospital or a day visit?
Hi Tony,
Usually the op consists in removing a portion of the bowel so it is a few days in hospital. I had it 3 years ago, didn’t need a stoma, and I was in Monday to Friday (although they tried to kick me out on the Thursday). Hope that helps, just ask if you have any other questions.
