i have been diagnosed with three tumours two different origins one not fully determined yet.
bland becoming anxious.
blader. bowel and lungs. biopsy on lungs not carried out yet. terrified but thats for another forum.
the source of bladder and bowel cancer is edometrial source may be from cancer of the endometrium. surgery carried out 12 years ago to remove. womb. ovaries and cervix.
i gguess a few cells migrated and set up home.
surgery for bladder cancer has been carried out but the one in the bowel cannot be surgically removed.
ive been started on a a hormonal/steroid treatment. full chemo wont be put into place until lung cancer biopsy is done.
this will be to check if its the same source or different so that chemo can be tailor made.
ive seen oncologist once and asked what if you cant shrink it what next.
the reply wasnt very tactful , palltive care followed by end of life care. i am 72 years is there anyone else in this situation and have you any tips to quell my fears.
oh on another note reading the posts on wind i look foreward to passing wind as it releives the most annoying symtom i have, pressure.
the tumour is pressing on a nerve that gives the signal you need to go and empty contents of bowel. i have this feeling 24/7. very uncomfortable, very little sleep. i have all the usual symtoms blood clots, ect ect.
thankyou for alloying me to post this as i dont discuss symtoms with family and friends
Hi magdalene
Welcome to the forum .
You have come to the right place to discuss all things bowel .
Just to put another angle on your oncologist remarks . My mum has been under the palliative umbrella for 14 years . At one point she even got discharge but another recurrence has seen her return .
She is back in treatment but she is still enjoying life with holidays booked . Treatment had to be accommodated but at the end of the day you are a statistic of one and that brings hope .
Take care ,

Hi Magdalene
I wanted to say hello and to say that you’ve got a lot going on and it must be really hard to process. I have found talking here has helped me
If you find it helps keep talking
Although I don’t have the same as you I did have the pressure which really got to me but I was unable to pass wind so if you’re able to go for it I just bloated and felt like I would explode
Okay I’m being dramatic!
Take care
Keep us posted

Ann
