Just had my first Capox infusion today. Was quite worried but better than I thought just got a tingly arm. Glad I got hubby to drop me off, go home and then pick me up, would never have parked. See how the tablets go now.
Hi Coblady. Well done for getting through your first infusion. I finished 4 rounds of CAPOX just before Xmas and found that the thought of chemo was far worse than the actual treatment. Just make sure that you moisturise your hands and feet regularly and wrap up against the cold. The side effects scan get stronger as you go through the rounds but if you have any problems, just let your medical team know and they can offer advice or adjust the medication. Please let us all know how you get on . Sending love xx
Done one week of tablets and fiinding I am very tired. From being a very active 70 year old, any exertion has me breathing like a steam train. I suspect I have become anaemic, and yesterday was actually light headed after a walk that would have been no issue 2 months ago. Am upping my iron rich foods as the constipation no longer appears to be an issue. Am hoping as I stabilise my diet I might put some weight back on and become more active again. Hoping to clamber up onto one of my ponies next week if better.
