First one under her belt and hopefully it will be kind .
The infusion went smoothly so that was a help .
Have a good day everyone ,
Winging her way round to fourteen years .

So pleased that it has . I am Also still in touch with people who are further ahead of her and still doing well too !
Such a shame she stopped scanning just as it recurred . However I notice the research for long term management is still in the making . Happy she is pushing forward still despite it all .
I need to read up on this but apparently there is some research on eating pomegranate seeds on Cetuximab. Something to do with the gut bacteria they encourage. Not had a chance to read up on it but still bought them anyway .
Hope your own treatment plan is coming together .

Oh thank you Faloola . Never been on it before . It was not funded when she was first diagnosed and we pestered politicians to get funding for it way back .
She only knew she was suitable for it back in 2016 as they got better results from her lung resection .
She has just returned from a night away and managed well . Going to do her shopping soon and catch up but for now she is sound asleep !
Take care ,

Hi Star74
Thank you so much . She certainly is trying very hard as ever . Out most days with family .
She has added the pomegranate seeds . Day 5 and the spots /rash have arrived so taken an antibiotic and some steroid cream . Very manageable so far but she is taking it as a single agent .
All we need is stability so we are hopeful as ever .
How are you doing ? Planning another family holiday yet .

I certainly found it more manageable than folforinox, just keep an eye on the skin it can get very sore, and make sure she stays out of the sun! She's a trooper your Mum, praying she gets stability.
I'm OK, just had my 3 monthly CT and MRI scan so anxiety has set in while I wait for results. Funny how it takes you straight back to that dark place when I was first diagnosed!
Funnily enough I had cheeky look for holidays in May! We're just in the middle of fitting a new kitchen though so I have to choose my moment to suggest a holiday!!
Green light given for round two !
Had a wee chat with the lovely nurse . Turns out mum
should have been taking her antibiotics. Who knew , not me as she never told me and I definitely think a wee hearing assessment is on the cards for her !.
A manageable two weeks . Got on top of the rash and all things considered it was doable .
Best foot forward to the next cycle .
