Hi just one more day to go then that’s been five weeks of chemotherapy tablets and radiotherapy which I think I have got through  with no side effects  but had my last clinic meeting and the oncologist has told me the next 2 to 3 weeks will be harder ! Can someone please tell is it that bad, was terrified  off the treatment ! Now terrier of what lies ahead ? Thanks

  • As you know the chemoradiotherapy carries on working for several weeks after the actual treatment ends but I didn’t find those weeks any different - if anything things improved and the feeling in my feet of walking on sand disappeared. You’ve done great so far so tick that box off and plan a few nice things to do before the next step

    Take care

  • Thank you it’s great hearing from someone who has been through it I know everyone is different the hardest about the last 5 weeks was the clinic and the negative from the doctors every week they ask how I was and was told it will be worst by next week ?

  • Just wanted to say congrats at getting to the end.

Sorry can't comment as on different chemo and i've not finished yet Wink

  • Hi Fraser

I finished the same treatment cycle late summer. No issues whatever. Its a gas compared to Oxyp.Your neuropathy might get worse but so what...its winter.

    Good luck

  • Hi Fraser1,

I finished my 5 weeks of chemoradition yesterday. I feel a little sick with tingly hands and feet and a rash on my arms and back of hands.

I was also told that it could get a little worse before it gets better but that's part of the journey so no point in worrying about it.....this is my own personal belief and I know everyone has different ways of dealing with it

    Take care, Ralph.
