Right side of bowel removed. No stoma. My haemoglobin keeps dropping and 6 weeks a transfusion helped. Last Friday I had 3 iron infusions over 3 days. Last one on Weds. I have been bed bound since then. Severe diarrhoea and weakness. Hardly able to get to loo in time, tho it veDisappointed close to bed. Thank goodness my poor husband has been here to mop up after me. GP called yesterday and all obs were ok except for the haemoglobin. Am feeling so very very weak. Unable to do much foDisappointedmyself. Am told it could take another few days to feel any better. HelpDisappointedAnyone else experienced this? Rosbear

  • So sorry you are feeling so rough . Our helpline staff might be able to help on 0808 808 0000.

My mum had a similar issue but it was more her potassium was knocked off and resulted in the same symptoms . Took a wee while to level out particularly the bowel issues but she did recover in the end .

Hope it starts to ease soon ,
