Hello folks,

This is just a little update on my journey with chemoradition treatment. Today was day 12 of 25 treatments and I have to say that I seem to be getting off light in the side effects department. I've had nothing sinister happen bar some diarrhea and a little fatigue.

I don't know if this is normal or I may just be lucky. Maybe I could have some nausea or other effects ahead of me, who knows!!

The nurses checked the area targeted by the radiotherapy and were very happy with it....it was pinkish as it should be at this stage of the treatment. They praised my constant moisturising of the area and said keep it up!!

I need to say that everyone at the North West Cancer Centre here are amazing and caring, I'm so grateful to them all...GrinWaveThumbsup

Happy Christmas to all and may your days ahead be comfortable and carefree.....SnowmanChristmas treeGrinSantaEvergreen treeSnowman

  • Hi  great to hear someone’s experience I was petrified about starting my radiotherapy and chemotherapy tablet now two weeks out five was nothing like I expected apart from the nausea for the last day it has been fine, fingers cross the rest will be the same.

  • I have just finished 5 out of 25 treatments. Feeling very tired and have slight bowl discomfort due to being far more wind than normal. Will discuss this at my first review next week. I thought fatigue might be an issue as I had a stroke last year - having recovered well from this I am left with a few balance problems and fatigue. It's early days yet but hopefully things will keep going in the same manner!

3 days off now to enjoy the Christmas weekend.

    Happy Christmas!
