A slightly Better End To A Bit Of A Sh***Y Day

`Every cloud` as they say, and I think that is what has happened to me today. Got up this morning mood was `flat as a pancake` even posted here saying how down I was. A few weird but lovely things have happened along the way though. I got a delivery this morning of a small `tea hamper` one of Jay's nephews and his wife send us this every year at Christmas it has different type tea samples and a mix of cakes/scones. Then later on that day I got a lovely poinsettia plant delivered from M & S from my cousin and inbetween that I won £4 on a Lottery scratch card and then got an email from one of the housing organisations I have applied to for sheltered/assisted housing to say we now have our `banding` and can now express interests on properties we think would be suitable for Jay's needs and one of the other ones has accepted us on their list too for sheltered housing so as they say `god certainly does work in mysterious ways`. Hopefully this will be `onwards and upwards now` and the `baby steps` might just turn into a `toddle` for us. Nurse coming back in too tomorrow to flush Jay's picc line and to change his dressing then it will be next Wednesday again to get his bloods done. Only downside is that he will be on chemo over new year's weekend- but hey! not as if we're going out anywhere to get p*** drunk think those days are long gone. So, what turned out to be a sh***y day at the start, I think I can safely say has turned out not too bad. Just need the `elephant in the room` (the chemo) to work now. Take Care.
