So I haven't posted here for a while and only briefly and sorry if I've missed a post that could answer this.
I've been diagnosed with stage 4 advanced, I started with bowel cancer at stage 3 but unfortunately it has spread to my left side in my peritoneum (sp?) and into 2 ribs and lymph nodes. I'm going to have 5 goes of radiotherapy. I've been on folfox had 6 goes of that and then after a delay folfuri only managed 4 and kept getting infection and ending up in hospital after each session of that. But they haven't worked.
And sorry I've gone right off subject!
So now we are on targeted therapies. Does anyone have any experience, or know family, friends someone that's had encorafenib and cetuximab together, I've read it's common for this combination but even the nurses at the unit say they haven't dealt with it alot, the encorafenib not the cetuximab.
Sorry for any grammer or spelling mistakes!
Lou
Hi
I just want to welcome you to the forum .
I am familiar with Cetuximab and we had a member who used encorafenib .
I think Gaul used it but it was referred to it as braftovi . I think it’s the same drug . He had more response from it than other treatments he had but I suspect it was not alongside Cetuximab .
I will try and find the link for you tomorrow.
No need to apologise for any spelling mistakes . I have dyslexia so always having to go back and edit !.
Take care ,
Court
