  • Hi Bud

    • Sorry to read that you are in such a tight spot.

Have you only been recently informed about the KRAS issue? I'm in the same boat albeit a different variant and practically threw in the towel there and then when I got an  s4 diagnosis.

Lonsurf is available through all units of the US Medicaid system. Trial results show it is effective for some and not others....the usual mixed result.

I hope you draw that positive outcome. Definitely worth a shot.

  • Sorry to hear that .

I have heard the same as  there is a sub group of patients who achieve stability on it , some others don’t . The way I see it they definitely would not find it here if Nice were not convinced it achieved something for some people .

How are you holding up ? Been a difficult time here . I lost my dad and mum has been very sick . Also got a recurrence but that’s not causing any issues . Saying that mum is gaining strength .

    Take care ,

  • Have you linked in with Bowel cancer U.K. ‘s Facebook group .? They have all this sort of information as it’s a stage 4 group .

It is tricky as it changes from different health authorities. However it’s a generic treatment so our helpline staff might be able to assist you on getting more information on how to part fund treatment.
