Does anyone else have a Neuroendocrine tumour in their small bowel?
thanks
Hi . I think has recently had NETs removed? x
We’re they in small bowel? How did surgery go?
Yes, they were at either end of the small bowel, 5 metres apart! I've had a hysterectomy and appendectomy in previous years but found this worse.
Blimey. Hope you don’t mind me asking you questions. In what way was it worse? I’ve been lucky in that I’ve never had an operation before
I’m having an ocreotide scan tomorrow so presently drinking the awful prep
I guess the fact I'm older hasn't helped - others were 20 years ago. Over the worse now. I expect my age (66 yrs) has made the recovery take longer.
I think you'll find you have a restricted low fibre diet for several weeks, which is what I had. First few days were clear fluids only.
