Well at last I have good news to share. Yesterday my husband after two failed attempts finally had his bowel and liver resection done. All went to plan and was quicker than expected. 24 hours in critical care unit and he was moved to the ward this afternoon. A problem with the epidural today meant he was in a lot of pain for a number of hours. It was removed as it had a kink in the tube under the skin. Now on PCA which eventually kicked in at 5pm so much more comfortable now. He stood up and shuffled to a different bed to be transferred and then stood for a few minutes later so good progress being made. We both feel as if a huge weight is off our shoulders, two tumours in the bin at last. Major step forward. A glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel now.
