Hello anyone here had a reversal. I had mine 6 weeks ago still carnt control bowl movements. Does anyone no how long this might last I've had stage 3 rectal cancer then lar now reversal it's been a tough ride thank you

I had a LAR with Ileostomy August 4th 21 and was reversed September 2nd this year so I’m in a similar situation
I have found that I’ve had to go back to the first stages of my food that suited my stoma. So it’s beige and chewing. I tried the natural approach recommended by my nurse but I had absolutely no control then I tried lopermide before meals this blocked me. My consultant told me to take one before bed. I know this is not the normal recommendation but I’m doing it and it’s becoming more manageable!
The holding on as recommended is also helping
