Has anyone had really smelly gas after breaking wind and what can help with that any good ideas are appreciated

  • Hello Winst8, i found avoiding carbonated drinks very important. Again yogurts were great. Had a lot of vanilla flavoured ones. And lots of water. I hope you are feeling a bit better x

  • Yes I can still get really smelly gas especially in the evening . It’s usually when I’ve eaten vegetables or too much bran . A year on and I’m still trying to figure my triggers X

Hi, as you're a year on. Can I ask how you coped with the treatment. Did you have chemo and if so what type please

  • Hi Kidsneedme, I had Folfox which was 4 cycles over 3 months . Each cycle was going to hospital for an infusion. Which for the first 2 cycles took acouple of hours but my calves ceized up I could hardly walk so the last 2 I had slower infusions which lasted about six hours . Then it was tablets twice a day for two weeks . I felt like I had a bad hangover and morning sickness all in one . Anti sickness tablets helped and I got used to it . I was also very tired and spent a lot of time just relaxing . A lot of people don’t have as many side effects . After 2 weeks of tablets you get a week off and then you start over again . I struggled a lot with anxiety more than anything . A year after finishing treatment I feel almost back to 100% .XX

  • Not cramps as such , more trapped wind
