How long was you on chemotherapy for did you find it ok did you ever have bleeding and aneamia

  • Stick with it  after my 2nd round I was ready to give up. But a break and lower dose sorted me out. Still not easy but not hell! My anaemia was due to tumour so blood stabilised and am still taking iron.

I started chemo in May, on last and 8th rounds.

I found I'd have a low point and didn't think I could do it. But you pick up and find the strength to go on. I'm discharged from oncology now and have a consultation booked with the surgeon in Feb. It does get you down. So many side affects. I find brain fog and fatigue really tough at times.

    Xx

    Ps....you can do this!

Forgot to ask did you have nigling pain from the tumor

  • No, nothing obvious. Small bowel cancer is rare and hard to find . I had strange unexplained vomiting episodes every 4-6 weeks which ,then mild anaemia. Had tests etc but nothing found. It wasn't really until by blood count had dropped to a third of what it should be.  I was hyperventilating just walking down drive , had to rest halfway up the stairs.I put it down to being on furlough for 6 momths. How I dragged myself around in 38 deg heat on Rhodes I don't know (nor did my GP)
