Hello all!
Today I have received confirmation of dates for surgery. I'm going in on September 12th for the removal of my gall bladder, and a chunk of liver, as it is believed that my friendly cancer friend has spread to those regions. I am really apprehensive about this - far more than I was for the bowel resection. Please keep fingers crossed that all goes according to plan!

Hi Robin. I'm really sorry your having to go through more surgery and I can understand your nervousness. I'm still deciding whether to have chemo following bowel resection so not in your position but I'm wondering how your recovery from surgery went last time and whether there is anything you can do to get yourself as fit and ready for this surgery as possible? As you can see I'm going down the practical route but taking some kind of action often helps me. Like Kareno62 I think it's time for your cancer friend to go - they've outstayed their welcome. Good luck x
Hi stoatlord
As always we are thinking of you and hoping this goes smoothly for you .
I think I mentioned before the smaller liver resection was not too hard on my mum so hopefully they will not have to remove too much . Nothing like her bigger resection !
We will look forward to hearing you are safely through surgery !
