my husband had op for bowel cancer 2019 then found liver cancer had op in feb he is starting 8 doses of chemo
is this the norm
Hi trca
Just to make sure I have read this correctly , your husband has had bowel surgery 2019 then 2021 Feb liver resection and now proposed to have post operative chemotherapy.
It is very normal for an oncologist to use this approach. They can refer to it as mop up chemo and I think the research supports it .
Glad he has come through his surgery and hope the chemo goes smoothly.
Take care ,
