Hi everyone
So I have a video chat with the colorectal consultant on 4th March and was told that although they can’t confirm cancer without more biopsies they have planned for a resection to happen in April/May and once the tumour is out they will see if I need chemo or not.
My consultant said that I would have a blood test and Pre op appointment made and also have a chat with the stoma nurse incase I require a stoma. However apart from a letter saying I was on the general surgery waiting list (will be see within 12 weeks) I haven’t heard from anybody.
Should I get in contact with the hospital or just wait it out a bit?
Hi Grega, that’s good news they have scheduled in your surgery My pre-op assessment & bloods were pretty close to my surgery date & I only met with a stoma nurse on the morning of my actual surgery, (very luckily I ended up not needing one) so think it’s ok to
ait it out & best of luck with your surgery
