Hello has anyone had TAMIS procedure for bowel cancer? Just wondering as my Hubs is quite poorly after it which we think is quite unexpected over a week later he is still exhausted.

Just wondering if anyone has been through this.

Thank you and wishing you all well.

    Morning all

Hubs was admitted back to hospital on Monday was so exhausted he could barely shower, he's in terrible pain from his bottom can't sit down only lie on his side, he has urine retention was in agony and it took 3 hours to wait for catheter put in which was a great relief for him they now say his prostate is enlarged.

Long story short he discharged himself at 1am this morning,  don't know where to go from here. Rolling eyesRolling eyes

  • Oh dear ! He really is having a rough time . Have you been able to get information from his surgeon ?
That must have been agony . Does he still have his catheter in ?
Could his GP give any guidance . Quite a lot for you to manage,

Hi, only just replying as all emails came to my spam...

I had TAMIS 52 days ago. Still in pain, was told I had a small tear this week, but for the internal pain still no idea, it's either muscle or bone, no idea what to do with it to be honest either.

Guess I'll have to wait for meds to heal the tear and hope I'll be fine after it.

Nothing like what your husband seems to be in though. My pain is persistent but not bad enough for hospital. Yesterday was agony, but probably only because of my recent gyno examination. I'm starting to feel a bit helpless too.

I wish I could help, but don't know enough about it and hoping for the best myself. Not clear my small tear is what's causing internal pain.
