Hi,
My brother in law has just been diagnosed with very rare Ewing Sarcoma of the nose, the tumour grows very quickly is too big to be removed at the moment, so he started the course of chemotherapy. After his first course of chemotherapy, he caught bacterial infection, the MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) and was given antibiotics for that.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of cancer please?
Has anyone been taking chlorella supplement during chemotherapy? And is it safe to be taken also whilst he is on antibiotics and fighting with the bacterial infection?
Thanks a lot.
Hi and welcome to the online community
I don't have Ewing Sarcoma of the nose but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered. It could be that no one in this group has this either or that someone who has just hasn't seen your post yet.
While you're waiting for replies you could use the search facility in this group to look for previous posts discussing this. There are quite a few people who have Ewing Sarcoma, although I didn't notice any that specifically mentioned the nose.
You could also post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist cancer nurses will respond within 2 working days.
As for whether your brother-in-law should take a supplement while having chemotherapy or on antibiotics the answer is that he should speak to his team about whether it is safe to do so as only they know how it might react with the drugs that he is on.
