Hi there, I left an introductory message a few days ago and thank you for all the kind replies. Sadly my husbands health has deteriorated since my post. We were hoping to get him home for palliative care but he has now got sepsis again and his kidneys are slowly giving up. I am in such a state with it. My husband is sleeping a lot but does wake up and is fairly lucid. That's all I wanted to say.
I'm so sorry you may not have the time together that you were hoping for. You are both in my thoughts.
We faced something like this when my mother had bladder cancer in the 70s. Our only consolation (my father, sister and I) was that she did not suffer and was lucid to the end. My sister and I miss her still.
In those days there was not much they could do. I have been very fortunate that when I got bladder cancer myself 3 years ago it was found quite early and I was offered so much more treatment and care than she had.
All the best,

I'm so sorry to be reading this Ellen. I wish you and your family strength and peace at this time. I'm so sorry that you don't have as much time with your Husband as you expected. Keep making memories.
Sending you all my love, Ade xxx ️
