Hi, I’m new ti the forum. In September 2022 oh had a turbt followed by 4 rounds of Bcg. I had my last cystoscopy in December and all was clear and have been feeling good but noticed blood in my wee today. Feeling very depressed tonight but lucky I have a very positive wife. Just worried about what the future holds but I guess no one knows.
I hope I can get some replies from people who have had positive outcomes on what I’m going through and any advice would be welcome.
Hi Buzzard123 and welcome to the group. Many of us have been where you are and have come through it. Blood in pee can be very worrying but BCG can damage the bladder and slight bleeding is not uncommon. Always best to check with your team but in the meantime, make sure you are drinking plenty of water to keep things flushed out. Best wishes.
Thank you so much for replying. I have kept my worries and fears to myself for 2 years but feel now is the time to talk with people.
Hi Buzzard123 . We know exactly how you feel and what your fears are. It is difficult letting your innermost fears out to loved ones, but you can say anything here. We understand. talk about medical stuff or just come for a chat. best wishes.
Best to get it checked out .. I am always on the look out for blood in my urine..I used to buy the test strips to test regularly but have stopped that now .. bcg can probably leave the bladder weak I know I cannot hold my water very well since having it ..I ride an electric bike and one day found I had a show of blood I was panicked but I knew I had my flexi in a few days so I waited till that ..all was OK thankfully ...hope things will be OK for you I know how anxious you can get .. I was diagnosed in 2020 ..best of luck Tina
It's natural to worry in that situation. We all fear the worst after a cancer diagnosis. Even if it has recurred, the medics have more options for treatments. I'm sure other will be along who have had recurrences and are still here, or had similar scares that turn out to be nothing of concern. Best wishes.
Hi everyone, thanks for replying and being positive. I have contacted my specialist to get it checked.
i was surprised to see blood after only 10 weeks of being clear.
i will stay in touch and let you know.
Thanks Leo. Biopsy was taken early december and i had just finished playing golf when i noticed it. so i’m hoping that’s what it is. thank you so much for your reply. i will try and stay positive.
