Sorry to bother you. Have just had a Cystoscopy because I had bleeding. They have discovered something in my Bladder. Very worried it is Cancer. I have got to have Biopsies. I suffer from anxiety and depression. Very frightened.
Kind regards James.
My heart goes out to you James, it must be really difficult to have a health anxiety and be going through this medical intervention. I hope you manage to let the thoughts go, and get some sleep . Best wishes to you
Much love Angela x
Thank you so much for all of your support. My GP spoke to me this morning about the discharge notes. He seems to think that the original bleeding was caused by the trapped bladder stone and not the abnormal area. He has told me the orperation has gone well and as expected. He also mentioned that it could take up to 2 weeks for things to get back to normal. The problem at night started when I started eating again and is being caused by trapped wind pressing my already distended bowels against my bladder. I have had to take a soluable Co -Codamol to clear the wind and can then sleep OK. I am stll getting a bit of blood at the start of urinating but it turns normal as I continue. It is not as painful now as it was.
Kind regards James.
Hi James,I’m sure you will find less pain and frequency as time goes on.Bladder stones are so painful and it’s far better that you have had it removed.Left in it may well have caused more obstructive symptoms and bleeding which would predispose to infection.Best wishes
Jane
Hello James (Retrovanian)
Thank you so much for todays update - things are slowly getting back to normal. The human body is great at fixing itself, you just have to give it time and a little bit of help here and there.
There are some amazing people on this forum who have rallied round to help and support you through this difficult time, and in view of the circumstances I think you have done very well this last week.
Please do keep in touch and let us know about your continuing recovery.
Kind Regards - Brian.

Hi Retrovanian,
Very glad to hear it! I hope the doctor gave you some confidence in the treatment and your ability to bear it.
Best wishes,

Thanks again for all your comments and advice. I still get a sudden urgency to pee if my bladder is full and I turn on a tap. Is this normal. I was sitting watching a film on TV for about 1 and a half hours with no problems. I went to make a drink and as soon as I turned the tap on I had to rush to the toilet. I had this before the operation but not as bad.
Kind regards James.
The body takes time to heal but you will get there. So eat well and drink plenty of water and you get there. Good luck mate
Yes it's fairly normal - as I think I mentioned before it's common for doctors to use this reflex when people can't urinate to provide a sample. I think you should empty your bladder then turn the tap on. Plus maybe while your bladder is settling you should empty more regularly so it doesn't get so full anyway.
Hope this helps
