  • Hi there Sparkle and welcome to the group personally know nothing about taking care of a Stoma but did want to say have read a lot of people experiences with them and each person has always said that the stoma nurses are a good source for navigating round issues that arise in the day to day care of them perhaps it may be worth contacting them if you havnt already hope you get somewhere and find the answers your looking for

  • Hi  and welcome.

I’d like to recommend that you join our Stoma support group, as this would be a good place to get advice and support with this. If you click on this link it will take you there-

    Stoma Support Group

You haven’t given any information about your dad’s type of cancer, but I’m wondering if you meant to make your post in the bladder cancer forum? I’m not sure if there will be members in the bladder group who have been through this to be able to help you. If you could add some information to your own profile it will be helpful to give others an understanding of you dad’s situation.

I have different types of stomas, but lots of us in the stoma group have had an ileostomy and I’m sure will be able to help. If you join the group you can put another post there in the same way you have posted here in the bladder group.

Look forward to seeing you there!

    Sarah xx
