Hi
My husband has just been diagnosed with bladder cancer but it hasn't progressed through the wall of the bladder yet.
He can't have an operation or chemo because of his well being. He wouldn't survive an operation.
They said he could have 2 years left.
He is a paraplegic with early onset dementia. But with two recent infections the dementia has escalated.
I don't really know which way to turn. They said a cancer nurse will call me next week to see how he is.
Do I need to contact the GP for any help. At the moment he can't be left alone he is delirious.
Hi Clickoff and welcome to the group, although sorry to hear of your husband's situation. I can't offer any medical help, but could I suggest you call the Macmillan free support line on 0808 808 0000. They will be able to offer advice on what you could do and would be able to let you know what help is available. You will find them very friendly and helpful. Open till 8pm. Best wishes.
