Strawberry’s and pee

Hi Nigel. We know certain foods can turn your pee red. Beetroot is the worst offender. Don't know about seeds though. Are you sure you are not passing clots? Passing blood clots can feel like that. Best wishes.

had a strawberry, banana and blueberry smoothie, walked the dog, came home had a wee, and pink wee. Did look like blood to be honest, been clear all day. Not fussed by it as the surgeon did say the blood can come and go, I think something in that drink turns my wee a pinkish colour. I’m gonna stear clear from now on.

One thing I would keep in mind well things are healing is that the bladder has muscle and contracts and retracts so everytime you pee there’s movement there I suppose it’s like when you get a cut in a high movement area like a finger or knee the more movement the more chance the wound will break open slightly and bleed early days for you on the healing bit
