Hi, I am a 58yr old woman newly diagnosed and in limbo!
2 weeks ago I went to drs as I was passing blood in my urine. Walked out of that appt with type 2 diabetes. 4 days later I had a cystoscopy and was told I had bladder cancer. A CT scan was arranged for the following day.
I am also having liver investigations as blood tests came back high.
I feel like my whole world has come crashing down . The waiting for results is unbearable!
Hi, welcome to the group. I was 56 when diagnosed - had fast track tests thinking I had some sort of gynae problem & came home with BC diagnosis instead. We are all familiar with the shock, and the awful wait to know what comes next. You will probably be booked for day surgery to remove the bladder tumour for biopsy to determine what treatment is most appropriate. However bad things are, does seem easier when you have a plan in place & have some idea what you are facing. Keep us posted, hope all goes well for you.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
