Yeah that's quite standard. I didn't have that done due the position of my tumour. I don't think the side effects are severe. Depending on the time of day of your surgery you can usually go home the same day. I had a late afternoon, so it was the following morning.
Hi Tiza72 . The chemo used following a TURBT (Mitomycin) is administered directly in to the bladder designed to mop up any rogue cells. Not the same as intravenous chemo (in to the vein) and does not have the same side effects although may cause some inflammation for a day or so. Hope it all goes well. Best wishes.
