Hello .... just been diagnosed and would like to chat to others about it please
Hi Gerry
Just wanted to say my partner has been under the care of the oncologists at the Leicester Royal Infirmary since Dec 22nd when he was diagnosed with kidney cancer which spread to his bladder. He’s only 35 and they have been absolutely phenomenal, his treatment has been carried out so quickly and check ups are regular and thorough. I couldnt recommend the LRI enough they’re fantastic.
All the best

Hi
Welcome. I dare say that it's all rather daunting at the moment, the early days always are, just getting a grip on the situation is difficult. I had surgery five years ago and I live a pretty near normal life. Yes, you pee differently and there are emotional issues particularly around sex, but by and large, you can continue life as normal.
You've got a bit of a long journey ahead, but there is a lot of support out there and on this site. Glad to hear Leicester has a good reputation. Wishing you well.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
