My dad has just completed his 6 week course of weekly BCG treatment, each week he's felt tired and suffers from diarrhoea but tends to bounce back a few days after the treatment. After his 6th session he's been wiped out and is still suffering from diarrhoea a week later . Is this a common side affect ? Its really getting him down and he just wants to try and enjoy the next 6 weeks before he has to go back for his next visit to see if the treatment has been successful
Hi . I have not had BCG, but reading many similar posts on here, it does sound familiar. Important your dad takes on lots of fluids, but if the diarrhoea does not stop, he needs to get medical advice. Does dad have a CNS he can contact? I'm sure someone with experience of this will come along. Best wishes.
