Hi, after a 2nd unsuccessful attempt to remove dad’s catheter he gets a date to start BCG treatment. I was wondering how it works l know the treatment is administered through a catheter he will obviously need the catheter( pee bag) put back on after the 2 hour waiting period but will the nurse empty the leg bag either the chemical waste in as it is highly toxic and change the bag or will he be sent home to dispose of the waste himself?
Thanks on advance
Hi Barneybear . Not had BCG myself but hopefully someone with experience of having BCG with a catheter in will be along to offer some help. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
