It’s all Greek to me

My inadequate knowledge of Greek Mythology has always been my Achilles Elbow! Update- the tumour on my lung has now been identified as a small lesion which following a biopsy will possibly be treated with radiotherapy. Therefore, we are now reverting to Plan A Robotic Nephrectomy removal of left the left kidney.  I have no dates when the surgery and / or biopsy procedure is scheduled or in which order. I only received full prognosis of Pet Scan on Monday. Confused you will be! Stay well.

  • Hi Garviv. Sounds positive re the lung lesion. I've had something similar for years but they just monitor it and thankfully it has not changed. Good to know you are back on track with the kidney. Hopefully all will go well. Keep up the good humour. Wishing you all the best going forward.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Certainly is confusing. Whose pet did they scan? I frequently visit hospitals but have yet to see an off duty robot clanking down the corridors. Joking apart, there's a lot of very clever stuff being used these days to improve the whole surgical process. Still daunting though, when questions are answered in medical terms, needing a session with AI to explain things when you get home. I hope you are given some dates soon. Best wishes.

  • Cheers Ray, your response made me laugh.

  • Thank you Rily for your kind words

  • Hello my lovely, that all sounds like its heading in the right direction, thank goodness. I hope you are not feeling overwhelmed with it all .

Chance to get a few more rounds in with the good weather before your op. It has been a mighty fine summer weather wise. Take care Garviv , love to the family

    Much love Angela x

  • Hi Garviv,

Sounds like everything is moving quickly and you're being looked after well.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • Hi Angela,

Not been on here much lately so haven't had the chance too ask how your last batches of BCG went. Fingers crossed all went well and that you're fully recovered.

    Look after yourself.

  • Hi Trevor, lovely of you to ask. They went ok, no worse than the 3 before really. Recovered and trying to get back to exercising without crashing out. Had the annual CT of chest , pelvis, abdo and dont want to think about the results, it will probs be 2 more weeks, so going to try and enjoy myself in the interim.

How are you Trevor? Have all the side effects gone completely ?

    Much love Angela x

  • Good to hear they went okay and you've recovered etc. best of luck with the CT results.

I would say I'm recovered now, I spoke with my consultant who confirmed that we won't be continuing with BCGs and I'm going to have flexis instead of biopsies going forward, so no more being knocked out (all being well).

I've moved recently so need to change Trust's, and I'll get that done soonest,.

    Take Cate.

  • Morning Angela, just waiting for dates. In the meantime carry on with life. The why me and what if’s at the back of the queue. Lots of golf, gardening and curry nights. So glad you’re recovering from the BCG Installations. Fingers crossed re scan results. Stay well x
