You won't be bothering them if in  any doubt contact your team that's what they expect after a major operation and will be annoyed if you don't.

Hi Harveyrex,Sorry to hear this.Unfortunately this can happen and definitely seek advice if there is no improvement.My urologist said they always worry about kidney function after cystectomy.I had swelling of mine which is common but it did settle back down.I hope you feel better soon and the rest of your recovery goes well.Best wishes Jane

Yes I had several infections after my RC, and ended up in hospital a few times. Contact your team asap, if necessary and the symptoms warrant it go to A&E.

I eventually had some proper microbiology work done, and had 10 days of IV antibiotics at home.

I had a hernia - my infections stopped after having the hernia repaired.
