Hi I have a cystoscopy on Fri, I have been getting red and brown urine since end of last year, I've had breast cancer in the past. My urine shows no infection or bacteria growth, feel very worried x
Morning Gina,
sorry that your here but welcome to the group…I’m sure that your medical team will be able to see what’s going on after your cystoscopy on Friday…I understand your worries…
I have had brownish blood in my urine in the past. ( I’m not medically trained)
With me it was old blood sitting in my system from a previous procedure… when the blood sits in your system ( there is some science in this) it goes a brownish colour so when it comes out in your urine that’s what it looks like….
two years into my treatment and I still get blood in my urine now and again…
I hope it’s nothing for you to worry about…
good luck for Friday,
Nigel xx
Hi gina62 . It's always worrying when you see blood, but it could be caused by a few things. Good to know you have your cystoscopy this week. I hope all goes well. In the meantime, remember to keep drinking plenty of water to keep things flushed out. Best wishes.
