Hello everyone, my daughter in laws dad passed on Sunday in his home in Ireland. My DIL, Son and four grandchildren are currently on the Liverpool- Belfast ferry in order to attend his funeral and wake. They will be back on Saturday. The crossing today is on the choppy side apparently. It will be good for grandchildren to see Nana again albeit in such sad circumstances. In the meantime we are dog sitting the collie dog. As fate would have it my Daughter, SIL and grandchildren are going to London for the weekend. We had promised to look after the crazy Springer Spaniel. We will have 2 hours freedom between dogs leaving and arriving. That’s what Grandma and Grandad do! Look forward to Christmas when we can be all together again. Stay well x
Hi Garviv, losing a loved one is so hard , and at xmas time it seems harder as all around are celebrating. It will be good for Nana to see the grandchildren , children always lift your heart and spirits even in the depths of sadness.
You are going to be busy looking after the crazy spaniel. hope your moroccan holiday recharged your batteries . Did you have a good break ?
Much love Angela x
Thank you Angela, Morocco was a wonderful break. New culture, food and people. Four really hot and sunny days the others sunny intervals and clouds. Cool evenings. Sunbathing on the beach in December. Even in the saddest times the honesty and beauty of little people come through. Youngest granddaughter said Grandad is now in the stars and to look out for the brightest one. Then she said I’m going to Ireland for Grandad’s party. Bless! Sheepdog fast asleep guarding the fire and dreaming of sheep. Crazy Spaniel arrives Saturday. Stay well x

I had my daughter's two labradors to stay for 3 weeks during the summer. It made my own boy very happy to be part of a gang, and they were all very well behaved. I understand from local folk that most Springers are bonkers. Charming but very lively. I'd always thought I might fancy one but in the end it's always been another lab for me. Enjoy your grand-dogs knowing they'll soon be going home again. Hx
