Hi beautiful people

I went for my results yesterday and I'm CANCER FREE I will explain it easy I can't explain doctors way ....the tumour they took biopsy from was stage 3 so I had to have rest of it removed couple weeks later (the roots from it ) and they wasn't cancerous....I'm so happy

And now all I need to do is have a cafiter fitted fill my bladder with some sort of solution and come home to empty I have this every week for 6 weeks ?? Has anyone of you lovely peeps had that please xxx

Hiya Christine,

What great news. Sounds like you had two TURBTS , to remove the tumour etc, this is very common and it's great to hear that this has been removed fully.

With regards to the solution going into your bladder, this could be BCG or mitomycin, I believe. I'm not 100% sure if there are other treatments that are given directly into the bladder.

BCG is an immunotherapy treatment and mitomycin is a chemo treatment.

I'm on BCG and have had 18 instillations. I don't know a great deal about mitomycin.

Hi Christine, good news. I also suspect dose going into your bladder is BCG. Are you in UK? If so you should have been introduced to your Cancer Nurse Specialist. These nurses are the experts on cancer treatments and patients reactions to them. They are generally contactable by phone. It would be perfectly reasonable to ring and get the name of your treatment and also what you might expect to experience. My BCG doses went on for almost 4 years so not a quick fix but 8 years later I am clear and healthy. Hx
