Well I'd like to officially lodge a complaint!!
After my mitomycin today I was looking forward to a potential purple or orange wee, I'm sure they are 2 of the colours people have said they had or was told by nurse it could be so.
But oh no just a very normal coloured wee for me, I'm so disappointed
Can this be passed to the correct complaints department for me pretty please.
Mostly fine at the moment if I'm honest. Don't seem to be having much adverse effects at all.

My CNS said "we want champagne not chardonnay" so my motto was "bring on the lemon barley water !"
I was not offered any post TURBT (x 2) treatments because I was extremely prone to excessive bleeding from the tumour site. Palliative care since late 2018 seems to work well enough for me. Nevertheless, I was fascinated by the blue or purple colours mentioned by other posts recently. I've only had rosé, red wine, orange during the normal (for me) passage of time since the July 2017 diagnosis. These occur quite frequently but thankfully not during the last 6 weeks and I've almost come to terms with them as water and 3 hours will typically restore normality. The weirdest colours I've had resulted from oral medication. I had black bags for 6 weeks when on iron pills to counter anaemia. A&E said it was an uncommon side effect in urine but were not concerned. Brown urine bags resulted from anti-infection drugs such as Nitrofurantoin and luminous pale greeny yellow from occasionally hefty vitamin C dosage. I can imagine that patients with socialist leanings might be irritated by blue bags. It's a pity John Cleese hasn't made any sketches to brighten up cancer life and perhaps reduce the stress for a few minutes. Ray
Mine was purple when it went into my bladder and purple when it came out
Humpff I didn't even look when it went in, I prefer not to look

Lol! Mine was purple!
Was a bit of a shock actually as no one told me about that!
I had it put in when I was still under a general anaesthetic after my first TURBT and woke up mid treatment.
The wash out was extremely painful actually as I suffer with major cramping anytime anything happens with my bladder.
Glad I had it done though, I've just finished the 6 week course of BCG treatments and just had my cystoscopy under general with a biopsy but initial results seem promising the docs say. I get the test results next week so fingers crossed, it seems all the treatments they've done are hopefully working!
Good luck to all and best wishes!

Great news kitty.cs. The docs who do the TURBTs are pretty good at assessing what's going on, though of course the biopsy results are the definitive answer. All sounds like it's going well for you. Enjoy the treatment holiday before the maintenance doses start. Hx
