Just finished 6 weeks of BCG

Just finished my 6 weeks of BCG treatment, I am quite lucky really as I did not have any side effects. Just wait now for 6 to 8 weeks to be checked for any reoccurrence.Fingers crossed the BCG has done its job. If not I am not sure what happens then.

Can anyone enlighten me.

Hi Maisies Granny, glad your induction course went comfortably. Like Garviv said try to enjoy the break from hospital and treatment. Next will be cystoscopy and if all goes well onward with the BCGs. BCG is a long long treatment, mine went on for almost 4 years. Have you got a Cancer Nurse Specialist assigned to you? The Urology clinic nurses felt like my best friends by the time I completed the process.....particularly as it was during Pandemic. Sending love Hx

Thank you everyone for your good wishes, yes I intend to enjoy the next few weeks. I did not realise the treatment could go on for so long.Thank you for this information. I have a specialist nurse and she is great.
