Night bag is mauve

I have had this in the past but not recently. It is something called “purple urine bag syndrome” (PUBS)  and it can range in colour from a blue to a purple. 

It’s caused by a breakdown of a certain acid by the bacteria in urine and it reacting with plastic. Sometimes it can be caused by an underlying infection/UTI so you may want to get this checked. For me, it’s been harmless and not persisted when I’ve had it.
