Night bag is mauve

I have had this in the past but not recently. It is something called “purple urine bag syndrome” (PUBS)  and it can range in colour from a blue to a purple. 

It’s caused by a breakdown of a certain acid by the bacteria in urine and it reacting with plastic. Sometimes it can be caused by an underlying infection/UTI so you may want to get this checked. For me, it’s been harmless and not persisted when I’ve had it.

Just to echo Sarah, it has happened to me on occasion and isn't uncommon. You might have UTC infection, hence the tummy issue.

Doc dismissed it saying it was prob due to the bag as urine was clear. On the tummy front she has referred me and thinks it may be dysphasia. So bit concerned about that
