Hello again,
My husband finished is radio therapy treatment three weeks ago and is having problems with peeing. It is extremely painful and takes ages for him to start and then when he finishes, he feels as if he wants to go again. Also he is itching and burning all the time. Does anyone know if this is normal please. Today his GP has prescribed codeine for the pain and he has to take a urine sample to the surgery tomorrow.
Hello FloGlow . This treatment can cause radiation cystitis or inflammation, so good to know your husband is having a urine test. In the meantime it is important for him to drink plenty of water even though he is having difficulty. Best wishes.
Hi again FloGlow . I know it can be hard to drink water, but it is important because when not drinking enough, the urine becomes concentrated and acidic and so further irritates the bladder. Best wishes.
