Evening all,
hope your all well.
Six months ago I had PSA bloods tests done for my prostate, an MRI followed that and then had some biopsies taken.. results were inflammation due to the BCG treatment for my Bladder…
so six months on I’ve had more bloods done to check the prostate…PSA levels have dropped with no need for an MRI….more bloods to be done in another six months time…even though I thought there was nothing wrong, you just never know…I’ll take any good news…
love to you all
Nigel xx
Hi Nigel, it's so great to read your good news. Enjoy your break in treatment.
Love to you, Mrs N and the dog, Ade xx
Hi Ade , how are you ? Are you on a break from bcg ? I hope you are keeping well and enjoying the time off
I am waiting on my ct results and I am not going to lie, trying to keep a lid on the anxiety is involving alot of self talk. The waiting is just awful isnt it xx
Much love Angela x
Hi Angela, I've had lots going on recently, so I've been reading all the posts but haven't posted anything for a while. Today I had a final meeting with work and I am now officially retired! It's been a difficult decision but the right one, I think. Now I'm waiting for my NHS pension to be sorted.
I had to have a repeat CT scan on Sunday as there was an "anomaly" on the one I had in February, so now I'm waiting for those results too! Im really hoping that this one is clear otherwise ill have to have a Ureteroscopy under GA.
I totally understand the anxiety that you are feeling. Even though I had my last round of BCG in January I feel that I've been on the treadmill since then without a break from treatment. It's all been a bit much .
My next round of BCG is scheduled to start on 14th July so we are celebrating my retirement with a family holiday to Cornwall this weekend. Looking forward to relaxing and spending time with lovely Hubby, kids + partners and dogs.
I hope you get lovely clear CT results very soon, Angela. Stay positive ️
Sending you love and hugs, Ade xx
Hi Ade, sending you you a wrap around hug, sounds like you are going through it too. Retirement is a big step , I hope you enjoy every second of it, I am sure you have worked your socks off in the NHS and wont miss the stress that the job can bring, although there will of course be stuff you will miss like the camaraderie . Have a wonderful celebration in cornwall, I am green with envy lol !
I shall keep my fingers crossed for both of us , praying for positivity, calm and strength for whatever the future holds . take care xx
Much love Angela x
Hi Angela, I've always enjoyed my role in the NHS. I've worked in the Microbiology Laboratory at Stoke for nearly 39 years. This is the Hospital where I have my treatment too so I can stay in touch with my colleagues. I shed a few tears today but I'm sure I'll be fine tomorrow.
Manifesting positivity, calm and strength for us are definitely on my to do list ️ And now life is settling down a little I feel I can be more present on the forum.
Sending love to a fellow night owl
